More than 2 million passengers (2,022,461) moved this July from and to the ports of Piraeus, Rafina and Lavrio, registering a 7.85% increase compared to the same month last year. Of these, 1.5 million were to and from the port of Piraeus, an increase of 8.55% compared to July 2022.
In particular, the period from 1.7 to 31.7.2023 the total number of passengers who moved amounted to 1,538,411 when respectively in July 2022 it was 1,417,249, i.e. an increase of 8.55%. An increase is also recorded in cars with 7.66%, in trucks with 5.73% and in two-wheelers with 7.82%. The largest increase in passenger traffic is observed in the Argosaronic Islands as 452,680 passengers moved this July compared to 389,908 in July 2022. This is an increase of 16.1% compared to last year.
An increase in passenger traffic is also seen in the port of Rafina, as from 1.7 to 31.7.2023 349,330 were moved, when respectively in July 2022 it was 332,741, i.e. an increase of 4.99%. An increase is also recorded in cars with 7.47%, in two-wheelers with 4.53%, while only in trucks there is a decrease of 2.9%.
It is noted that the port of Lavrio recorded an increase in passenger traffic in the month of July by 7.57%, as 134,720 moved compared to 125,241 in the corresponding month last year. An increase is also observed in cars by 8.61%.
