The Minister of Tourism, Mr. Theocharis, will have a series of important contacts with representatives of state and private bodies from the tourism sector in Russia, during his visit to Moscow. Mr. Theocharis’ trip to the Russian capital takes place in the context of his tour in tourist markets of high interest for Greek Tourism, in view of the upcoming opening for 2021.
Specifically, the program of contacts that the Minister of Tourism Mr. Haris Theocharis will have in Moscow is as follows:
On the afternoon of Wednesday, 14/04, the Minister of Tourism will attend the opening of the Photography Exhibition to be held at the ITAR-TASS news agency, in the context of the year of Greek-Russian history.
The next day, 15/04, Mr. Theocharis will have official meetings with:
– Ms. Zarina Doguzova, Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism (Rostourism)
– And the Deputy Minister of Transport Mr. Dmitriy Zverev.
A common object of discussion in all the meetings are issues concerning tourism, the rules and protocols for the opening of the market and borders, but also the further development of relations between Greece and Russia, especially in the tourism sector.
On Friday, 16/04, Mr. Haris Theocharis will have a meeting with Mr. Christofor Alexandrovich Konstantinidi, Deputy Head of the Department of Culture, Sports, Tourism and National Policy of the Government of the Russian Federation, as well as with Mr. Dimitris Sarakianidis , Honorary Consul of Greece in Sochi and with the First Vice President of the Russian Geographical Society Mr. Nikolay Kasimov.
During his stay in the Russian capital, the Minister of Tourism will meet with the Greek Consul in Moscow, with Greek expatriates, Russian officials and investors, with the Greek coach of CSKA Moscow Mr. Dimitris Itoudis, but also with the owner of the team.
During his visit to Moscow, Mr. Haris Theocharis will meet with representatives of leading tourist groups and agencies from Russia (Mouzenidis Travel, TEZ TOUR, Biblio Globus, Pegas, Ambotis, Coral, TUI), as the interest in resumption of Tourism after last year’s successful market opening in our country.
The visit of the Minister of Tourism to Moscow has aroused the interest of the largest Russian news networks. Mr. Haris Theocharis will give interviews to the largest television and news networks in Russia.
