Two newly built tankers were recently received by the Latsco Marine Management of Paris Kasidokostas Latsis. These are two super tankers (Very large Crude Carrier – VLCC) with a carrying capacity of 300,000 dwt, one of which raised the Greek flag.

Latsco, wanting to honor its founder and his wife, named the two tankers YIANNIS LATSIS and ERIETTA LATSI. The ships were built at the South Korean shipyard Hyundai Heavy Industries and are high standard ships with the goal of energy efficiency and environmental responsibility.

The naming ceremony of the two ships took place on May 30th, marking the company’s return to the crude oil shipping market.

According to the company’s website, Latsco Marine Management expects to receive two more new VLCCs within the year. Including these vessels under construction, LatscoMarineManagement controls a fleet of 30 vessels, 10 of which are LPG (VLGC), and the rest of the tankers. Latsco LNG Marine Management also controls two liquefied natural gas (LNG Carrier) vessels.
