Greek budget revenues up by 7.5% in Jan-Sep 2023 period

Tax revenues during the same period reached 44.98 billion euros, up by 3.15 billion euros (7.5 percent) compared to the target listed in the introduction for the 2023 budget. A portion of the increase was attributed to a two-month grace period, ending in late February 2023, for vehicle owners to pay road fees.

Based on provisional data on the execution of the state budget, on a modified cash basis for the period Jan-Sep 2023, the deficit in the state budget balance reached 400 million euros, compared to a target of a deficit of 2.704 billion euros.
