The statement of the acting minister of the interior
The Acting Minister of the Interior, Kalliopi Spanou, stated after the close of the polls:
“The election process was completed with the simultaneous closing of the ballot box in all the country’s election centers and the process of sorting votes and counting crosses is underway.
Any issues that arose during the day were dealt with immediately and in the best possible way.
I want to express my warm thanks to all those who worked and cooperated with a high sense of responsibility for the conduct of these elections, the highest moment, the celebration as I have said before, of our Republic.
I believe that the smoothness with which they were carried out justifies their effort.
Shortly the contracting company, SingularLogic, will announce the estimate of the election result based on the transmission of the results reaching the Ministry of the Interior from the judicial representatives.
Thank you very much”.
