“It seems that New Democracy ensures safe self-reliance”, they note, adding that “this makes us feel even more responsible to meet the expectations of the citizens who showed their trust in New Democracy and Kyriakos Mitsotakis”.
“The next few days are not days of celebration, but days of work. There is no time credit, no days to lose”, party cadres note characteristically.
“PASOK is coming back”
“The result of May was not coincidental”, commented PASOK HQ, on its part, regarding the percentages given to PASOK-KINAL by the joint exit poll on 80% of the sample.
The party also emphasizes that “the choice of the voters was not opportunistic. It shows that PASOK is coming back, regaining bonds of trust with progressive citizens and, in the next period, a big bet is that PASOK will become the reliable progressive opposition”.
As the party’s top executives note, “with such increased percentages of the extreme right, it is even more important that PASOK becomes a democratic bulwork”.
In fact, as they sensibly note, “PASOK has never entered the process of engaging in micro-politics with far-right votes”.
