Average occupancy for Athens-area hotels appears as nearing pre-pandemic 2019 levels, according to data supplied by Athens-Attica & ArgoSaronic Hotel Association and processed in cooperation with GBR Consulting.
Specifically, according to monthly figures collected and analyzed by the association, average occupancy in the first half of 2023 reaches 73 percent for Athens-area hotels, off by 3 percent from the same period of 2019.
The average occupancy rate for June 2023 was 93.2 percent, almost identical to the figure for the same month in June 2019.
