Part of the Dodecanese archipelago, Karpathos has a 160 km coastline with countless beaches, organized and not, which allow holidaymakers to truly enjoy the sun and the sea.
In the southern part of the island are Afoti, Ammopi, Christos Pigadi beach, Diakoftis, Psorari beach, Damatria, Agrilaopotamo,s and Agios Nikolaos Arkasas.
In more detail, near Pigadia, the capital of Karpathos, is Afoti, an organized and busy sandy beach.
Ammoopi is a famous tourist resort of Karpathos, in an area with coves, rocky shores and sandy beaches with shallow waters, suitable for families with young children.
In the area of Afiartis, on the way to the airport of Karpathos, are the beaches of Christos Pigadi (with fine gravel, natural shade, and cool turquoise waters), Diakoftis (beach with turquoise waters and golden sand), Psoraris (near rocks, ideal for solo travelers), and Damatria.

Agrilaopotamos, a surfing paradise of Karpathos, is a sandy beach with shallow waters, where strong winds blow.
Agios Nikolaos of Arkassa, in the southwestern part of Karpathos, is a wonderfully organized beach with golden sand and views of Kasos.
In the central part of Karpathos are the beaches of Agata, Kyra Panagia, Apella, Agios Nikolaos (near the village of Spoa) and Lefkos.
In Agata, an organized pebble beach, the imposing rocks and the deep blue waters compose an impressive landscape.
In Kyra Panagia, travelers enjoy a picturesque cove with turquoise waters, pine trees that go down to the coast and the church of the same name, Panagia, high above the sea.
One of the most beautiful beaches of Karpathos, with exotic aroma and unique color combinations, is Apella.
Agios Nikolaos, east of Spoa, is an organized beach with very fine pebbles and clear blue waters.
Continuous coves and sandy beaches adorn the seaside settlement Lefko that overlooks the island of Sokastro, where ruins of the Byzantine and Medieval Era are preserved.
Finally, in the northeastern part of Karpathos, on the way to the famous Olympus, is the pebble beach of Agios Minas, accessible by excursion boat from Pigadia.
