BoG – Primary cash deficit of 6.35 billion euros in 8 months

In the period January-August 2021, the cash balance of the central government showed a deficit of 11.4 billion euros, compared to a deficit of 11.19 billion euros in the corresponding period of 2020, according to the Bank of Greece.

During this period, the regular budget revenues amounted to 28.2 billion euros, from 26.5 billion euros last year.

As for the regular budget expenditures, they amounted to 41.2 billion euros, from 37 billion euros in the period January-August 2020.

The primary cash deficit was 6.35 billion euros compared to 5.78 billion in the corresponding period of 2020.
