Microsoft Greece, Cyprus and Malta is launching a new partnership with Marathon Venture Capital, with the aim of further developing advanced start-ups, which have secured significant funding and are active in the B2B Enterprise sector.
Specifically, as part of the partnership, Microsoft will include in the “Microsoft for Startups” program, scaleups, at the suggestion of Marathon VC, to provide them with access to technology, technical guidance and business development support worldwide. In addition, Microsoft will provide training in cloud computing and application development, and will have experienced executives who wish to provide consulting guidance to companies involved in the program.
Marathon Venture Capital is the most important fund for technology startups in Greece and manages funds totaling 100 million euros. Its investments include Netdata, Hack The Box, Cube RM, Lenses, Causaly and Learnworlds, while its partners have been founders or initial investors in companies such as Taxibeat and Workable.
Expanding the circle of startups
With the new collaboration, Microsoft Greece will expand the circle of startups, but also the overall dynamics of the “Microsoft for Startups” program. Already, in one year of the program, eighteen start-ups have benefitted from the Program and received comprehensive support, aiming at their extroversion and international development.
