Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis reportedly reaffirmed the excellent level of Greek-US relations during a meeting with a bipartisan delegation of US senators on Friday, on on the sidelines of the 58th Munich Security Conference (MSC).

According to government sources, Mitsotakis also cited what he called prospects for even closer cooperation in defense matters and investments.

He pointed to the significance of the Cyprus, Greece, Israel regional cooperation initiative regional peace and stability, where Washington participates as an observer.

The US senatorial delegation was headed by US Sen. Lindsey Graham, and included senators Chris Van Hollen, Chris Coons, as well as former Connecticut senator Joe Lieberman.

According to reports, the Greek premier also briefly spoke with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
