The Head of the National Intelligence Service (EYP), Panagiotis Kontoleon, submitted his resignation to the Prime Minister, following wrong actions found in the process of legal wiretaps. The resignation was accepted. The Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Themistoklis Demiris, is taking over as the new Commander of the EYP. Mr. Demiris will inform the Committee on Institutions and Transparency after the resumption of Parliament’s work
