Greek state coffers have dolled out nearly 155.3 million euros in an emergency fuel subsidy to roughly 2.193 million eligible beneficiaries in the country, with a specific online platform to remain open for submitting applications until Sept. 1.
Would-be beneficiaries need to submit their most recent tax return before filing their application, i.e. income and revenues corresponding to 2021.
The subsidy, for July, August and September 2022, aims to deflect a portion of skyrocketing petrol prices over the recent period, and especially after the Russian invasion of Ukraine in late September.
The individual subsidy reaches a maximum of 100 euros.
