Total Energies has selected Greece-based Corinth Pipeworks S.A. as the supplier for its Fenix undersea natural gas pipeline in Argentina, according to a press release by Cenergy Holdings on Monday.
Total Energies, in partnership with Wintershall Dea and Pan American Sur, is building a 40-kilometer pipeline with 24-inch steel longitudinal submerged arc-welding pipes, as cited in the specifications, part of the Fenix phase 1 project.
The Fenix deposit is part of the Cuenca Marina Austral (CMA-1) field, exploited by Total Austral, in the Tierra Del Fuego –the extreme south of Argentina – since the early 1990s.
