The Minister of Tourism Vassilis Kikilias is heading to Smyrna, head of the Greek delegation to the 4th Session of the Joint Tourism Committee and the 9th Greek-Turkish Forum for Tourism, which will be held from today until November 18, 2021.
It is noted that the last Meeting of the Joint Tourism Committee and the Forum took place in Athens in October 2011.
On Wednesday, November 17, Mr. Kikilias will have a private meeting with the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, in which issues of bilateral interest in the tourism sector are expected to be discussed.
The agenda of the Joint Tourism Committee includes, inter alia, issues related to the current situation regarding Covid-19 and the exchange of experience on health protocols in the tourism sector, the exchange of know-how and practical knowledge in areas of common interest, as well as and cooperation in the field of maritime tourism and cruise tourism.
