The priorities of the new political leadership of tourism were mentioned by the responsible minister Olga Kefalogianni during her speech at the first Regional Tourism Council held today, via teleconference.
As the minister said, the main national choice and priority is now sustainable development in tourism, balancing the goals of economic and social development, with opportunities for everyone, but also ensuring the promotion and protection of our natural and cultural wealth. These basic parameters, together with the climate, make up an attractive and safe landscape for visitors, where the quality of the infrastructure and services in tourism are our comparative advantages, added Olga Kefalogianni, in her post on social networks.
Let’s use the momentum
In the meantime, the minister added that tourism in our country must take advantage of its potential by strengthening its connections with the aim of spreading opportunities but also its rational development, with respect to the special characteristics of each place, each region and the country in general.
