The growing economy of Bulgaria, the production sectors in which the neighboring country “leads” and the high level of bilateral relations, which is constantly being upgraded, will be reflected, among other things, in the participation of Bulgaria as an Honored Country in the 87th Thessaloniki International Exhibition from September 9-17 at the International Exhibition Center of Thessaloniki.
The best possible preparation of Bulgaria’s exhibition participation was at the center of the TIF-HELEXPO administration’s visit to Sofia last week, where it met with the Bulgarian political leadership.
The President of TIF-HELEXPO, Tasos Tzikas, the Managing Director of TIF-HELEXPO, Dr. Kyriakos Pozrikidis, the General Director of TIF-HELEXPO, Alexis Tsaksirlis and the Responsible for the Participation of the Honored Country on the part of TIF-HELEXPO, Katerina Traptsionini, met successively with the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Rumen Radev, with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mariya Gabriel, with the Minister of Economy and Industry, Bogdan Bogdanov, with the Finance Secretary of the Presidency of the Republic of Bulgaria, Hristo Alexiev, with the Managing Director of INTEREXPO, Ivan Ivaylo and with the representative of the Bulgarian National Television (BNT ), Adelina Stoicheva.
Also participating in the meetings were the Ambassador of Greece to Bulgaria, Marios Lymberopoulos, and the Director, e.t. of the European Commission, Circular Economy & Insularity Advisor and President of the Espoo Convention and the SEA Protocol, Giorgos Kremlis.
The preparation of Bulgaria’s participation as an Honored Country is progressing rapidly by the Ministry of Economy, which has undertaken the relevant coordination and preparation of the country’s stand.
The sectors of the Bulgarian economy that will be presented at the 87th TIF are technology and ICT, energy and environment, tourism, automotive industry, logistics, education, public infrastructure and small and medium enterprises.
The Bulgarian participation will be framed by parallel events and, in fact, at the level of strengthening cooperation between the two countries, a Greek-Bulgarian business forum will be organized with the main themes of digital connectivity and joint projects in tourism, infrastructure, shipping and energy.
It should be noted that there will be extensive promotion of the organization of the 87th TIF and the participation of Bulgaria by national television and radio networks of the neighboring country, in cooperation with the TIF-HELEXPO partner network in the Balkans.
