Bank of Greece (BoG) Deputy Gov. Theodoros Pelagidis on Wednesday referred to a post-pandemic opportunity for the country to attract so-called “digital nomads”, given the large number of European citizens who want to work online and live in a different place.
Pelagidis spoke during a roundtable discussion in Athens within the framework of the ekyklos conference, entitled “Tourism and Manufacturing: Competitive or Supplementary Sectors of the Greek Economy”.
He said the key is to create conditions where professional foreign nationals will choose Greece for their residence, something that will boost domestic consumption.
