The creator of the “Blue Homeland” doctrine and instigator of the Turkish-Libyan memorandum, former Chief of the General Staff, and head of the Turkish Müstafi Shipping and World Strategy Center, Admiral Jihad Yaici has picked up the baton of provocations and the effort to cultivate a climate of war, by Turkey.
Yaici, more or less, “sees” a plan by Greece to invade the Aegean, which, according to him, has been prepared since 2017. He even claims that the maps presented by Kyriakos Mitsotakis in Europe and the USA are part of this plan.
“Promote the Blue Homeland doctrine”
“Against this plan, Turkey must promote the doctrine of the Blue Homeland in the international community,” Yaici told the pro-government Yeni Shafak newspaper.
“Greece, which sees the situation as an opportunity, will be in trouble. “We must be prepared for any situation,” he said.
“3-stage plan”
“Greece launched in 2017 a 3-stage plan to increase its territorial waters. Now they are trying to implement this plan with these maps. In the first phase of the project, they had decided to increase their territorial waters in both Crete and Antikythera.
However, they could not advance to the second stage due to pressure from Turkey. Now they will try to pass to the second and third stage “, said the theorist of the Blue Homeland, according to sigmalive, and continued:
“The second step is to increase the territorial waters to 12 miles between Crete – Antikythera and the Peloponnese. The third step is to increase Greek territorial waters to 12 miles in Greek territorial waters. The final stage is the 12 miles throughout the Aegean “.
New map of Turkey ordered by Erdogan
Yaici also claims that Tayyip Erdogan had instructed universities to “make our own map” at the Eastern Mediterranean Symposium in September 2020.
“This order was fulfilled last week. The University of Istanbul has mapped the Blue Homeland and is now a scientific project. Everyone should know the Blue Homeland. “This map of ours must be given to our envoys and they must be informed about the rights of Turkey.”
