More than 30 start-up companies specializing in maritime technology from around the world showcased their products on Tuesday during the second day of the Posidonia international exhibition, which took place in Athens after four years.

The presentations, dominated by efforts to decarbonize and digitize the industry, took place within the framework of the popular TradeWinds Shipowners Forum at the Athens Metropolitan Expo center, adjacent to the Greek capital’s airport.
Representatives of one Greece-based company, METIS CyberTechnology, broached the use of AI for ocean-going shipping.

The biannual Posidonia exhibition, touted as the most prominent such trade show worldwide, resumed after the 2020 event was cancelled due to the pandemic. It will continue until June 10.
