The producer’s price index in Greece for the industrial sector – a composite index measuring both the domestic and external market – rose 16.5 percent in December 2022, compared with the same month in 2021, the country’s statistics authority announced on Monday.
Specifically, the development is attributed to a 19.5-percent hike in the external market index, and a 15.6-percent rise in the domestic market index.
The producer’s price index fell by 2.4 percent in December 2022 from the previous month, while on average, the index grew by 35.1 percent in 2022, compared with 2021.
