The Cycladic island of Paros located in the heart of the Aegean has been ranked among the top three summer destinations worldwide by the American magazine Forbes.
According to the publication, Paros is currently a quieter alternative to Greece’s more touristy islands, but it is rapidly developing and gaining fame.
Included in Condé Nast Traveller’s ’24 Best Places to Go in 2024,’ the island has attracted celebrities like Tom Hanks and Jeff Bezos, who have been spotted enjoying its pristine waters and idyllic landscapes.
Forbes highlights that some of the best activities on the island include visiting its tiny sister island of Antiparos for peaceful, unspoiled beaches, indulging in local seafood dishes, and exploring ancient ruins.
The article also mentions the recent opening of new luxury hotels such as Cove Paros and Avant Mar, and notes that access is easier than ever with airlines like Saudia, Etihad Airways, and British Airways now serving the Cyclades.
Following the idyllic island of Paros, the American publication ranks Mauritius and Sri Lanka.
