Through targeted actions, we systematically highlight the unique sustainable and tourist footprint of the island abroad and receive the positive response of international markets”, said the Mayor of Astypalaia, Nikos Komineas. In fact, recently Astypalaia was presented to a selected Italian audience as an excellent practice of sustainable tourism. The action was part of a successful initiative by the Italian EOT Office that involved a “cycle” of webinars aimed at training Italian travel agents and professionals. For the preparation of the presentation, communication and cooperation of the EOT Service with the Municipality of Astypalaia was preceded.
