The logistics facilities of the ELTON Group subsidiary in Ukraine were destroyed after bombardment. This is mentioned in a relevant announcement of the group, according to which the facilities were located in the transit center 3PL Operator with an area of over 30,000 sq.m. in the Kyiv Oblast region and hosted products intended for the Ukrainian market, with an importance more than its actual monetary value.
The company has no information on the exact time of the attack, as it states, noting that “the headquarters and offices of our subsidiary in Kyiv have not been affected and have already been evacuated since the beginning of events, focusing on the absolute safety of people of our company and their families “.
It is also pointed out that “our subsidiary in Ukraine, together with our people, local partners and customers, is one of the top achievements in the forty-year course of ELTON, and although this unthinkable blow causes us all deep sorrow and awe, we know that it is insignificant in the face of the human loss and suffering of our fellow human beings in Ukraine.”
“I pray that the nightmare of the war will end, that the suffering of so many people and that an unprecedented humanitarian crisis that affecta us all will end ,” said Nestor Papathanassiou, founder of ELTON.
Finally, the investor and the general public are informed that “this latest development is not expected to significantly affect the strong financial position of the Group, which as a regular strategy takes the necessary measures to ensure and protect both this and the uninterrupted support of our customers. We are constantly monitoring the developments, analyzing and evaluating their impact on the wider activities of our Group, while we remain on the side of our partners and those who need our support “.
