NorthStandard: Greek on the board of the new mutual insurance organization

Greek shipowner Ioanna Prokopiou of Sea Traders will be among the 16 members of the board of the new mutual insurance organization, which resulted from the merger of the North P&I Club and the Standard Club.

In the new Board of Directors, the two merging organizations are equally represented as it is a “merger of equals”. Its members decided to merge the two maritime insurance companies in a vote last week.

The new board, which will begin operations in February 2023, will be chaired by Italian shipowner Cesare d’Amico.
