Greek central gov’t cash balance posts surplus of 1.3 bln€ in Jan-Feb 2023

The central government cash balance posted a surplus of 1.3 billion euros in the first two months of 2023, compared to a deficit of 1.36 billion over the corresponding two-month period of 2022, the Bank of Greece announced on Friday.

Specifically, the central bank said ordinary budget revenues totaled 9.613 billion euros, compared to 7.795 billion euros in the corresponding period of 2021.

Ordinary budget expenditures totaled 9.524 billion euros, up from 8.521 billion euros in January-February 2022 period.
