Bespoke SGA Holdings chief Spyros Theodoropoulos will, by all accounts, be the next president of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV), which represents Greece’s major industrial and manufacturing sector and comprises the most prominent employers’ group.
Theodoropoulos, the founder of bakery snack maker Chipita, which he sold in 2021 for roughly two billion USD, reportedly leads Julia Tseti, the president and CEO of OFET Tsetis Pharmaceuticals group, by a wide margin and with more than 50% of the votes counted.
The election was historic, as it was the first time such a process was conducted in SEV’s history. Some 800 registered SEV members retained the right to vote.
After selling Chipita, Theodoropoulos then established the Athens-based foodstuffs group Bespoke SGA Holdings, by acquiring luncheon meats producer Nikas, the iconic Greek chocolate maker Ion, the Ambrosia ready meals company and Hellenic Juices.
All of the group’s companies together employ some 1,500 people.
