CNN Travel’s list of the most beautiful cities in Europe for 2021 includes Nafplio, which fascinates young and old to this day.
“Beautiful Nafplio is located on the shores of the Aegean in the Peloponnese, with a Venetian castle standing in the water (there are actually three castles to visit) and a beautiful old town stretching behind the old walls,” says the author of the article.
Adding: “It was the first capital of modern Greece and therefore there are many things you can do. There is an outdoor ‘pool’, if you want to take a safe dip in the sea, and if you want to dabble in history, the archeological museum includes objects from the Mycenaean era.”
The CNN list
