Recently rescued Creta Farms, a large luncheon meats makers on the island of Crete, was among the highlights of a tour of the region by Development and Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis.
The company avoided bankruptcy with the entry of a strategic investor, and after the primary shareholders of Creta Farms, siblings, were at odds over is management and ownership.
The new primary shareholder of Creta Farms, Dimitris Vitzileos, referred to a total investment of 5.5 million euros, one aimed at upgrading all facilities and production capability.
The luncheon meats maker today employs a total of 656 staff.
