
The upward trend of exports continued in August, with their total value registering a rise of 70.4% and reaching 4,790.0 million euros ($4,865.9 million) compared to 2,810.7 million euros (3,318, 8 million dollars) during the same month of the year 2021.
According to the Hellenic Statistical Authority-ELSTAT the total value of imports-arrivals, in August 2022 amounted to 7,688.7 million euros (7,764.0 million dollars) in comparison with 5,042.9 million euros (5,918.9 million dollars) in August 2021, recording an increase, in euros, of 52.5%. The corresponding value excluding oil products in August 2022 recorded an increase of 963.2 million euros or 26.6% and the corresponding value excluding oil products and ships in August 2022 recorded an increase of 941.8 million euros or 26.1%, in comparison with August 2021.
The total value of exports-dispatches, in August 2022 amounted to 4,790.0 million euros (4,865.9 million dollars) in comparison with 2,810.7 million euros (3,318.8 million dollars) in August 2021, recording an increase, in euros, of 70.4%. The corresponding value excluding oil products recorded in August 2022 an increase of 668.7 million euros or 35.2% and the corresponding value excluding oil products and ships in August 2022 recorded an increase of 666.2 million euros or 35.1%, in comparison with August 2021.
The deficit of the trade balance, in August 2022 amounted to 2,898.7 million euros (2,898.1 million dollars) in comparison with 2,232.2 million euros (2,600.1 million dollars) in August 2021, recording an increase, in euros, of 29.9%.The corresponding value of deficit excluding oil products in August 2022 recorded an increase of 294.5 million euros or 17.2% and the corresponding value excluding oil products and ships in August 2022 recorded an increase of 275.6 million euros or 16.1%, in comparison with August 2021.
The total value of imports-arrivals, for the 8-month period from January to August 2022 amounted to 59,450.2 million euros (63,506.8 million dollars) in comparison with 39,724.2 million euros (47,437.4 million dollars) for the corresponding period of the year 2021, recording an increase, in euros, of 49.7%.The corresponding value excluding oil products recorded an increase of 9,560.9 million euros or 31.5% and the corresponding value excluding oil products and ships recorded an increase of 9,474.4 million euros or 31.3%, in comparison with the period from January to August 2021.
The total value of exports-dispatches, for the 8-month period from January to August 2022 amounted to 35,786.6 million euros (38,383.9 million dollars) in comparison with 24,984.3 million euros (30,030.9 million dollars) for the corresponding period of the year 2021, recording an increase, in euros, of 43.2%. The corresponding value excluding oil products recorded an increase
of 4,510.5 million euros or 24.6% and the corresponding value excluding oil products and ships recorded an increase of 4,499.6 million euros or 24.6%, in comparison with the period from January to August 2021.
The deficit of the trade balance, for the 8-month period from January to August 2022 amounted to 23,663.6 million euros (25,122.9 million dollars) in comparison with 14,739.9 million euros (17,406.5 million dollars) for the corresponding period of the year 2021, recording an increase, in euros, of 60.5%. The corresponding deficit excluding oil products recorded an
increase of 5,050.4 million euros or 42.1% and the corresponding deficit excluding oil products and ships recorded an increase of 4,974.8 million euros or 41.6%.
