The presence of Greece was impressive, with the national stand in a privileged position in the exhibition area and the participation of important Greek companies. With the slogan “Smart Ship Solutions. Greek marine equipment”, Enterprise Greece and the Associations of the sector have joined forces, aiming to implement a series of actions for the promotion of Greek marine equipment and the attraction of investment funds to the dynamic and outgoing Greek companies of the sector.
Strategic cooperation HEMEXPO – SEKPY
All participants had the opportunity to meet and establish partnerships with new clients, to join the SE Asia market and get in touch with important players from the missions of China, Korea, Malaysia, Holland, Norway, Panama and Singapore.
The exhibition was opened by Singapore’s Deputy Minister for Finance and Transport, Mr Chee Hong Tat.
The national pavilion was visited by the Guest of Honor, Mr. Baey Yam Ken, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Transport, Singapore and the Ambassador of Greece in Singapore, Mr. Georgios Dogoritis.
Referring to the successful national participation, the Authorized Advisor and Executive Member of the Board of Directors of Enterprise Greece, Mrs. Betty Alexandropoulos said: “Sea Asia, which was held in person for the first time after 2019, is one of the most important events in the shipping industry worldwide. It is an excellent platform for the promotion of Greek companies active in industrial marine equipment. We are particularly pleased to support companies in the industry, which are proving to be extremely extroverted, with around 42% of their sales going to the international market. The further visibility and promotion of the industry’s products and services, together with the attraction of investments, are strategic goals of Enterprise Greece”.
The President of HEMEXPO, Ms. Eleni Polychronopoulos stated: “It is extremely important for us that the SEA ASIA exhibition took place again, after 2019 due to the pandemic. With the support of Enterprise Greece, we had the opportunity to once again see top Asian shipping executives up close. The Greek stand, in which six Greek companies were hosted, was visited by many shipping companies who showed a special interest in Greek products and I believe that we will soon achieve new agreements and our commercial relations will continue even more dynamically.”
