The municipality of Lipsi has started an international online “information tour” with the slogan “Lipsi Is For Everyone” (L.I.F.E.), which includes dozens of contacts in foreign markets and presentations to journalists, influencers, and travel agents, according to a relevant announcement.
Already, the municipality is counting on its participation in virtual international exhibitions in Austria, Germany, England, Romania and Israel, while it has made its mark in digital workshops in France, Italy and Germany.

“The aim of the systematic approach is to highlight different elements of the destination that are widely accepted in the post – covid era, such as hiking, sustainability, ecology, cruises, yachting, exotic weddings, local cuisine and tradition with religious customs. We take advantage of the new trends, as the pandemic brought to the fore even more dynamically the small island destinations that offer authentic experiences “, said the Mayor of Lipsi, Fotis Maggos.
Regarding the evolution of the tourist traffic this year, the peak period from July to October when the travel conditions had normalized, the arrivals on the island of Calypso “reached” 91% of those of 2019.
At the same time, the number of visits by private yachts reached 1,522, which together with the estimates for the boats anchored outside the harbor, exceed a total of 4,500, recording a “historic high” for recent years.
