Heavy snowfall has been occurring since the morning in Pelion and has covered everything, while Volos woke up in white after snow has started to fall, since dawn, in the capital of Magnesia.
In the mountains of Pelion the snowfall is very intense and dense and mainly in Eastern Pelion, since the area is at the center of the severe weather front. Already, in Zagora the snow has exceeded 10 cm, while in higher villages, such as Kissos, it reaches about 20 cm and the snow is still falling heavily.
According to the mayor of Zagora-Mouresi, Panagiotis Kotsaftis, who spoke to national news agency AMNA, winds are blowing and a lot of snow is expected in the area, but the roads remain open and efforts are being made to keep both the main roads and the those that lead to the Zagora Health Center open.
Schools in the greater Zagora area will be closed today and tomorrow.

The schools by decision of the mayor of Volos Achilleas Beos, today Monday and tomorrow Tuesday, will be closed throughout the area.
