Serhat Köksal, who until recently was the director of international financial relations at the Turkish Ministry of Finance and will replace Russian citizen Dmitry Pankin was unanimously elected chairman of the Black Sea Bank.
According to the post of Deputy Minister of Development and Investment Giannis Tsakiris:
“The annual board of directors of the Black Sea Trade & Development Bank was held on Friday 25/2 on the election of a new President of the Bank Mr. Serhat Köksal, former Director of International Economic Relations at the Turkish Ministry of Finance, has been unanimously elected and will replace Mr. Dmitry Pankin, who hails from Russia.
The Black Sea Bank is an international financial institution based in Thessaloniki and with shareholders in Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Romania, Moldova, Georgia, Albania and Greece.
“Greece is a founding member and permanently holds the position of General Secretary of the bank, while the presidency alternates between Russia and Turkey every four years.”
