Egnatia Highway: Collision of 50 cars with trapped passengers

A collision of about 50 vehicles occurred at around 11.30 on Sunday morning a short distance from the tolls of Polymylos in the direction from Veria to Kozani.

The Egnatia Odos highway remains closed due to the dense fog that prevails in the area.

According to ERT, there are 3 to 4 trapped passengers who are slightly injured.

The first information states that five cars were initially involved in the collision, while later many more crashed into them.

Two fire trucks with five men from the Kozani Fire Department are already heading to the area to free the passengers.
