Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis on Wednesday pointed to initial indications of a very good year for the country’s tourism sector, with initial figures in the first 20 days of April considered as extremely positive.
Mitsotakis spoke during a visit to the relevant tourism ministry.
He also pointed out that the upcoming summer season will be the first without public health restrictions after the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.
“We hope that the long summer of 2022 will be particularly profitable for businesses, and also for tourism industry wage-earners,” he added.
