OT journalist, Christos Kolonas, visited the pavilion of the Energy Regulatory Authority (RAE) at the 86th Thessaloniki International Fair.
RAE has organized some clever activities aimed at young children, including a bowling alley that aims to show young visitors the objectives of the green transition and Renewable Energy Sources (RES).
The Director of Communication and Public Relations of RAE, Dionysis Papachristou, guided OT journalist to the educational actions, stressing that the Regulatory Authority participates for the 6th consecutive time trying to raise awareness among citizens, the energy market and students about all the developments in the energy sector and what we will face.
Renewable energy: the cleanest and the cheapest form of energy
We first saw the energy bowling, where each tenpin represents a target (wind farms, energy saving, etc.). There are also tables where painting competitions, concerning RES and Green Cities, are held, with the support of the Deanship of the AUTh Faculty of Fine Arts.
In the outdoor area of the RAE pavilion there is a small solar panel that charges a battery, while various brochures, puzzles and crafts are distributed to young visitors.
According to Papachristou, “our aim is to convey the message that Renewable Energy is the cleanest and cheapest energy.”
