The TITAN Group achieved a significant reduction in CO2 emissions in the third quarter of 2022 and renewed its targets which have already been submitted for scientific validation to the Science Based Targets (SBTi) initiative.
In the third quarter of 2022, the TITAN Group reduced its net CO2 emissions by 5.5%, achieving twice the rate of reduction compared to the same period last year. Since 1990 the Group has reduced its carbon footprint by 20%.
With more than 90 initiatives to reduce CO2 emissions in all regions where it operates and a program to introduce new products with a lower carbon footprint that will offer its customers more sustainable solutions, TITAN is on track to achieve its goals.
It was also recently rated ‘AA’ for the second year in a row by MSCI for its broader environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives.
New goals
With the new scientifically validated targets, TITAN seeks to reduce not only direct emissions (Scope 1) and indirect emissions from electricity (Scope 2), but also other indirect CO2 emissions from the supply chain (Scope 3). The Group is committed to achieving neutral net greenhouse gas emissions throughout its value chain by 2050.
