A reopening of a 10-year and a 15-year bond issue by Greece’s Public Debt Management Authority (PDMA) on Wednesday attracted strong investment interest.
The Greek state raised roughly 400 million euros from the re-issues, while bids reached 2.187 billion euros.
The interest rate of the 10-year bond was set at 3.98 percent, down from a coupon of 4.25 percent of the initial bond issue held in January 24, 2023, while the 15-year bond yield was set at 4.14 percent.
The Greek state has so far raised 6.7 billion euros from bond auctions in 2023, a shade away from the 7.0-billion-euro target for the year.
In 2022, the Greek state’s borrowing program was 8.3 billion euros.
