The procedures for the new elections are being accelerated as the swearing-in of the new Parliament is expected to take place on Sunday afternoon, as reported by parliamentary sources.
The election of the new presidency is expected to take place on Monday and then the Parliament will be dissolved in the afternoon of the same day.
In order to speed up the procedures so that the second polls can be held on June 25, the relevant Presidential Decree is expected within the day.
As the Constitution stipulates, in order to dissolve this Parliament, the swearing-in of the “300” must take place in one session and the election of the presidium (president and vice-presidents) in a second.
