Athens-based Gek Terna S.A. has submitted the highest bid, 3.27 billion euros, in an international tender for the 25-year concession of the more than two decades-old Attiki Odos tollway, which extends across the breadth of the greater Athens area.
In a press release, the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (HRADF), Greece’s semi-independent and memorandum-mandated privatization fund, opened offers submitted by six companies and consortia of companies, all related to the financing, operation, maintenance and exploitation of the tollway.
In particular, the five other offers submitted by pre-qualified investors were:
- ABERTIS INFRAESTRUCTURAS S.A., 2.7 billion euros
- AKTOR CONCESSIONS S.A. – AVAX S.A. – MERIDIAM EASTERN EUROPE INVESTMENTS 4 S.A.S., 2.548 billion euros
- BRISA – AUTO ESTRADAS de PORTUGAL S.A. – RUBICONE MIDCO, B.V. – INTRAKAT S.A., 2.05 billion euros
- MACQUARIE ASSET MANAGEMENT MOTORWAY HOLDINGS S.a.r.l. – FINCOP INFRASTRUCTURE Ltd., 2.35 billion euros
- VINCI HIGHWAYS S.A.S. – VINCI CONCESSIONS S.A.S. – MYTILINEOS S.A. – MOBILITY PARTNER S.A.S., 3.106 billion euros
