Greece and Serbia on Thursday agreed to recognize each others’ digital Covid-19 “vax” certificates, with a relevant agreement taking effect on Friday – a move aimed to facilitate trips by holiday-makers of each country to the other.
Greece, especially the country’s north, is traditionally one of the prime summer destinations for Serbian vacationers.
The agreement was reached during a meeting between Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Serbian Premier Ana Brnabic, and shortly before the latter spoke at the 6th Delphi Economic Forum taking place in the Greek capital.
Another meeting between Greek and Serbian ministers will follow next week in Athens to discuss the elimination of roaming charges on mobile phone use in Greece and
Serbia by Serbian and Greek users, respectively.
“The two things we agreed upon will help Serbians to visit your country, which they so love and prefer for their summer holidays,” Brnabic said.
