The Ministry of Finance is proceeding with the complete recording and valuation of the value of public real estate, which is also running the tenders for the provision of tourist infrastructure to individuals.
The list of major public property development projects was presented by Finance Minister Christos Staikouras at the 22nd Prodexpo conference.
Investment projects
In particular, as he said:
-The development of the regional ports of Alexandroupolis, Kavala, Igoumenitsa and Heraklion, the completion of the tender for the concession of the Kalamaria marina, the start of the procedures for the utilization of the marina of Pylos and Lefkimmi Corfu, and the resumption of the re-concession of Attiki Odos.
-Properties of interregional scope, such as Gournes of the Prefecture of Heraklion are mature for development . There are already 4 investment schemes involved in the asset recovery process.
– The implementation of the ambitious plan for the Government Park in the Municipality of Dafni-Ymittos is underway, in the former facilities of PYRKAL, which is an important urban intervention, with multiple benefits for the environment, the quality of life of the residents, but also the state budget.
-A holistic strategic plan for recording and valuing the value of public real estate is designed, with the aim of protecting, managing and investing it.
Changes in the HHellenic Republic Asset Development Fund
The Minister of Finance also referred to the addition of additional responsibilities to the HRDH – and specifically to the Maturity Unit of Strategic Contracts – in order to be able, in addition to the maturation of strategically important projects, to undertake the tender process and monitor their execution. In this way, “we seek the fastest implementation, overcoming time-consuming processes and obstacles, of projects of strategic importance, which include infrastructure projects,” concluded Mr. Staikouras.
