The seven occupants of a fishing boat that ran aground at Akrotiri Tripiti in the sea area north of Makronisos were collected alive and in good health yesterday afternoon.
Two patrol boats of the port and private boats rushed to the spot, which collected the seven passengers of the fishing boat and transported them safely, in good health, to the beach Vromopousi Keratea.
The fishing boat started to list and take on water, while no marine pollution was observed from the incident.
The Central Port Authority of Lavrio, which is conducting the preliminary investigation, banned the departure of the fishing vessel in question, while personnel and decontamination means were put on standby for precautionary reasons.
