A record tourist season is expected for Crete, while overall this year’s tourist traffic will approach the levels of 2019, according to the Tui Tourism Group, which also assures that the summer holidays will run smoothly for the vast majority of travelers.
Tui Germany chief Stefan Baumert stated that despite staff shortages, the holidays will go smoothly for the vast majority of travellers, adding that Tuifly was not planning any flight cancellations, unlike other airlines.

Tuifly additional flights at peak season
Tuifly’s schedule will remain as planned, with additional reserve aircraft during peak times. So far has not taken into account the general increases in the prices of its packages, because most of its contracts have been closed long ago. However, if these increases continue and the existing packages are exhausted, the pricing will move according to current prices, said Mr. Baumert and spoke of price increases of 10%.
“Greece will continue to have strong demand. “Especially for Crete, a record season is planned”, said Mr. Baumert.
