The latest opinion poll results unveiled on Tuesday evening have incumbent main opposition New Democracy (ND) party ahead of main opposition SYRIZA by 6 percentage points, 31 percent to 25 percent of respondents’ answers.

The poll was conducted by the Pulse firm and presented on the prime-time newscast of Athens-based Skai television.

Socialist PASOK party pools 9 percent, followed by the Communist Party (5.5 percent), Mera25 (4.5 percent) and Elliniki Lysi (3.5 percent).

Based on an extrapolation of the results, center-right ND extends its lead by 6.5 percentage points, reaching 31 percent.

The undecided/no answer portion of the poll reached 11 percent.

Asked who they believe will come in first in the coming May 21 election, regardless of their preference, 56 percent said ND, followed by 26 percent for SYRIZA.
