Voter turnout in Greek elex at 31.52% in early afternoon

The election process in Greece was continuing without any glitches on Sunday throughout the country, with the only difficulty arising before 17.00 (15.00 GMT) being a precise calculation of participation so far.

Specifically, a sample taken just after noon showed a voter participation of 31.52 percent of registered voters in 16,520 election districts.

Election officials said roughly 80 percent of votes will have been calculated by 21.00, two hours after polls close. Results for deputies’ races will reportedly come before midnight.
