The investigation into Eva Kaili and the criminal offenses of bribery from Qatar, but also of money laundering, has now also been extended to Greece.
In fact, in the last few hours, the purchase of a plot of land on the island of Paros, with a surface area of 9,000 sq. m., by Eva Kaili and her partner Fransesco Giorgi has come under the microscope of the Anti-Money Laundering Authority.
As the local website parianostypos.gr writes, the purchase of the plot was made by the couple Giorgi-Kaili 9 months ago and according to the descriptions from the people of the island, it is an extremely privileged plot of land of 9,000 sq. m. on a slope of Vunalia in the area of Kostos, with a panoramic view of the plain, Ysterni and the sea, with the island of Naxos visible in the background.
Kaili and Giorgi, according to the same information, bought the plot of land in Paros, from a seller from Athens, for 300,000 euros.

It is noted that the purchase of the plot was not known, as it took place in 2022 and therefore has not yet been declared in Eva Kaili’s ways and means asset statement.
This fact, combined with the recent establishment of a real estate company by Kaili and Giortzi and also their trip, according to information, to Paros in the summer, in order to develop the said property for its commercial exploitation, raise questions that have entered under the “microscope” of the Authorities.
They bought it in their name, says the architect-engineer
It is worth noting that on Thursday the architect and engineer who undertook the review of the license, Vazaios Petropoulos, spoke to ERT and referred to the buildings that exist within the 9-acre area, but also how Georgi and Kaili intended to convert it.
“Two-story houses with a basement and a swimming pool will become single-story houses with a basement and a swimming pool. We had made the plans, they have been submitted to the town planning department but the permit has not been issued.” He added that no company intervened “it was in her name, and in the name of her partner”. As Mr. Petropoulos mentioned, a total of 280 square meters of the area are buildable and the couple’s goal was to turn the house into a vacation home. “We had 3-4 meetings. They wanted a house for them to live in next summer, all the planning was done to make a house for her family. We fell from the clouds with this story, because at least Kaili was very good, I was impressed that such a woman would be involved in such things”.
