The man called the Fire Department for help, seeing that he was being swept away by the rushing waters. An operation is currently underway to locate him, with 15 firefighters with five vehicles, while the commander of the Chalkida Fire Department, Periklis Koulkouvinis, is also at the scene.
Volunteers of the “Rescue Team of Evia – S.A.R 312” from Aliveri also is assisting in the operation of the authorities with two cars with special equipment.
