The total number of unemployed persons registered with OAED decreased by 6.36% in June 2021, compared to the previous month of May, based on the latest data announced by the Organization. While the total of subsidized unemployed fell by 3.83%.
Specifically, in June 2021, the total number of registered unemployed, with the criterion of job search (job seekers), for the month of June 2021, amounted to 909,054 people. Of these, 551,979 (60.72%) are registered in the OAED register for a period equal to or more than 12 months and 357,075 (39.28%) are registered in the OAED register for a period of less than 12 months. Men amount to 314,823 (34.63%) and women amount to 594,231 (65.37%).
The total number of registered others (not looking for work), for the month of June 2021, amounted to 39,668 people. Men amount to 12,274 (30.94%) and women to 27,394 (69.06%).
The total number of subsidized unemployed, for the month of June 2021, (concerns the number of beneficiaries paid within the respective month) amounts to 75,474 persons, of which 69,047 (91.48%) are common and other categories of subsidized and 6,427 (percentage 8.52%) are seasonal tourism professions. Men amount to 34,078 (45.15%) and women to 41,396 (54.85%).
Of the total subsidized unemployed, 64,952 (86.06%) are common, 2,151 (2.85%) are builders, 6,427 (8.52%) are seasonal tourism professionals, 1,347 (1.78%) are seasonal others (rural), 564 (0.75%) are teachers, and 33 (0.04%) are others.
